WiseEye uses visual sensors, which can be wirelessly networked and solar powered, to detect intruders in a given area, including water utilities. The sensors, made by Emza Visual Sense, use algorithms designed to mimic the way animals and birds visually detect danger. First the sensors learn a visual scene, and then analyze that scene continuously. Only when it detects an intruder does it send an alarm and images to specified devices such as a computer or cell phone. An interesting movie shows an intruder caught sneaking into a water facility. Notice in the movie that WiseEye puts a box around the intruder, making him easy to spot.
