The Hippo Water Roller is a barrel designed to transport about 24 gallons (90 liters) of water, which weighs about 198 pounds (90 kg). The barrel’s screw-on cap covers a wide opening, allowing for easy filling and cleaning of the interior. Its clip-on steel handle provides firm control over difficult terrain while pushing or pulling. The barrel is made of UV stabilized polyethylene, rugged enough to withstand rolling over rocks and broken glass. The Hippo Water Roler has one more potential use as a protector from landmines. Tests with a cardboard model show that this device can absorb the blast of a detonated landmine--an obvious benefit in these areas of the world. | |||||||||||
